2 Samuel 18:3

SV	Maar het volk zeide: Gij zult niet uittrekken; want of wij te enen male vloden, zij zullen het hart op ons niet stellen; ja, of de helft van ons stierf, zij zullen het hart op ons niet stellen; maar [gij zijt] nu als tien duizend onzer. Zo zal het nu beter zijn, dat gij ons uit de stad ter hulpe zijt.
WLC	וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הָעָ֜ם לֹ֣א תֵצֵ֗א כִּי֩ אִם־נֹ֨ס נָנ֜וּס לֹא־יָשִׂ֧ימוּ אֵלֵ֣ינוּ לֵ֗ב וְאִם־יָמֻ֤תוּ חֶצְיֵ֙נוּ֙ לֹֽא־יָשִׂ֤ימוּ אֵלֵ֙ינוּ֙ לֵ֔ב כִּֽי־עַתָּ֥ה כָמֹ֖נוּ עֲשָׂרָ֣ה אֲלָפִ֑ים וְעַתָּ֣ה טֹ֔וב כִּי־תִֽהְיֶה־לָּ֥נוּ מֵעִ֖יר [לַעְזִיר כ] (לַעְזֹֽור׃ ק) ס
Trans.	wayyō’mer hā‘ām lō’ ṯēṣē’ kî ’im-nōs nānûs lō’-yāśîmû ’ēlênû lēḇ wə’im-yāmuṯû ḥeṣəyēnû lō’-yāśîmû ’ēlênû lēḇ kî-‘atâ ḵāmōnû ‘ăśārâ ’ălāfîm wə‘atâ ṭwōḇ kî-ṯihəyeh-llānû mē‘îr l^a‘əzîr l^a‘əzwōr:

AC	ג ויאמר העם לא תצא כי אם נס ננוס לא ישימו אלינו לב ואם ימתו חצינו לא ישימו אלינו לב--כי עתה כמנו עשרה אלפים ועתה טוב כי תהיה לנו מעיר לעזיר (לעזור) {ס}
ASV	But the people said, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but thou art worth ten thousand of us; therefore now it is better that thou be ready to succor us out of the city.
BE	But the people said, It is better for you not to go out: for if we are put to flight, they will not give a thought to us, and if death overtakes half of us, it will be nothing to them: but you are of more value than ten thousand of us: so it is better for you to be ready to come to our help from this town.
Darby	But the people said, Thou shalt not go forth, for if we should in any case flee, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us; for thou art worth ten thousand of us; and now it is better that thou succour us out of the city.
ELB05	Aber das Volk sprach: Du sollst nicht ausziehen; denn wenn wir fliehen müßten, so würden sie nicht auf uns den Sinn richten; und wenn die Hälfte von uns stürbe, so würden sie nicht auf uns den Sinn richten; denn du bist wie unser zehntausend. So ist es nun besser, daß du uns von der Stadt aus zum Beistande bist.
LSG	Mais le peuple dit: Tu ne sortiras point! Car si nous prenons la fuite, ce n'est pas sur nous que l'attention se portera; et quand la moitié d'entre nous succomberait, on n'y ferait pas attention; mais toi, tu es comme dix mille de nous, et maintenant il vaut mieux que de la ville tu puisses venir à notre secours.
Sch	Aber das Volk sprach: Du sollst nicht in den Krieg ziehen! Denn wenn wir fliehen, so wird man sich nicht um uns kümmern, ob auch die Hälfte von uns umkäme; du aber bist so viel wert wie zehntausend von uns. So ist es nun besser, daß du uns von der Stadt aus zu Hilfe kommst.
